Sgraffito Clay Mugs with Katherine Berceau
Ages: 8-12 with adult, 13+
This class, taught by pottery instructor Katherine, will be about the creative and fun ways to use Sgraffito on pottery, which means to “scratch”. In pottery, Sgraffito is craving through a layer of underglaze (or slip) to reveal the clay beneath it. Well have premade mugs and bowls already at a leather-hard state then apply underglaze and do sgraffito to get a desired design.
Please note that artwork will need to be fired and picked up at a later date. Participants will receive an email letting them know when they can pick up their artwork.
