Pyrography (Woodburning) Class

Pyrography (Woodburning) Class

Join mixed media artist Katherine Berceau for this unique four-week Pyrography Class. During the class, you will learn the basics of pyrography, more commonly known as wood burning. This is a versatile art form that is great for beginners and experienced artists who want to create unique functional and decorative artworks. Students will complete projects such as cutting boards, wall hanging wood slices and will experiment with burning unusual materials like leather. Students will be encouraged to bring in items of their own to decorate – try pyrography on your Kincos or your old wooden skis!

With a small class size (8 max) students will receive whole group instruction as well as one on one guidance. This class is open to students ages 13 and up.

All materials and equipment are provided but participants are invited to bring in their own items to decorate. Participants in this class also gain access to weekly open studio sessions.

Participants in Arts Council of Big Sky Classes do NOT need to have a BASE pass to sign up.

Any class payments above the suggested class fee (Take a Class/Give a Class, Help a Neighbor, Sponsor Materials) are tax deductible and will be acknowledged via email for tax purposes.
