Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced potters are invited to join Arts Council Lead Instructor Julie Edwards and Studio Assistant Katherine Berceau for this immersive 5-week of pottery course. The unique class caters to all ability levels with mixed methods (hand-building and wheel throwing) and a student-led approach to ceramics. We will meet you where you are and help you reach your pottery goals!
Those new to pottery will learn the basics of wheel throwing, hand building, decorative treatments, and glazing. Experienced potters can brush up on their craft and expand on their existing skills with the guidance of an expert ceramic artist. With a small class size (6 max) students will receive whole group instruction as well as one on one guidance.
All materials and equipment are provided but participants are invited to use their own tools if desired. Participants in this class also gain access to weekly open studio sessions. English and Spanish language instruction are available.
Suggested Class Fee: $270. This class is offered on a contribute-what-you-can basis with the lowest fee option of $54
