Alex Robilotta was born in Brooklyn in 1982. In 1985 his family moved to Maplewood New Jersey where Alex spent the rest of his childhood. In his early years Alex studied piano and french horn. At age 12 he began studying the guitar. Throughout high school Alex participated in many musical activities and began arranging and composing his own music at age 15. Alex went on to attend The University of The Arts in Philadelphia where he studied jazz performance and composition with many professors including Jimmy Bruno, Norman David and Tony Micelli. After graduating in 2006 Alex moved back to New Jersey and in 2012 married his high school sweetheart Marianne Gillen. In 2015 they packed up the car and moved to Bozeman Montana. Most of his free time is spent composing, performing & enjoying the outdoors.
